Food Authority Cracks Down on Contaminated Pickle Unit in Multan | 620 KG Spoiled Pickles Destroyed

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted a major operation near Asghar Petrol Pump, Masoom Shah Road, Multan, against a pickle and marmalade unit producing fungus-infected and insect-contaminated food items. During inspection, 620 kilograms of spoiled pickles and 20 kilograms of banned ingredients were destroyed. The unit owner was fined PKR 50,000 for operating without a food license. DG Food Authority Muhammad Asim Javed emphasized that protecting public health remains the top priority, and strict action will continue against all food adulterators.
