“Adulteration-Free Punjab” Campaign in Full Swing — Heavy Fines, Arrests and Food Seizures in Vehari
Punjab Food Authority continues its “Adulteration-Free Punjab” campaign under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
During October, 2,266 food points in Vehari were inspected, 943 were issued warnings, and 168 faced fines exceeding Rs 2.3 million.
Authorities registered 8 FIRs, arrested 8 individuals, and temporarily shut down 6 food outlets.
Thousands of kilograms of substandard and adulterated food items were destroyed to ensure public health and safety.
