In Haroonabad, reports have surfaced of a “Device Mafia” illegally deducting cash from poor women receiving funds under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). Victims say agents cut between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 from each payment and threaten to block accounts if complaints are made.
